A non-invasive treatment that harnesses the power of natural light for visibly radiant, rejuvenated and refined skin using an industry-leading, multi-award-winning and clinically proven device, Dermalux.
How does Dermalux work?
Dermalux phototherapy uses specific wavelengths of light to trigger different responses in skin cells to help target and improve skin health and concerns.
Dermalux delivers three wavelengths of light at the optimum intensity to activate the skin. The three wavelengths are red, blue and near infrared and can be used individually or in any combination depending on the target concern.
Your practitioner will tailor your course of treatments, choosing the appropriate light combination for your skin and may also add it to other treatments to maximise results.

What’s involved in the treatment?
Consultation: |
We’ll perform a thorough skin consultation to ensure that Chemical Skin Peels are the best treatment for you, and to establish if any skincare preparation is required. |
Treatment: |
Your skin will be cleansed and prepped and the peel solution applied. During the treatment you may experience tingling and slight stinging, but this subsides within a couple of minutes. The application process for the peel will vary depending on the peel that your practitioner has chosen for you. This process will be explained before the treatment takes place so that you know what to expect. In total your treatment will take 30 mins. |
Recovery: | Immediately after the treatment your skin may be a little pink and feel slightly tender, which will subside within 24 hours. In the days following your skin may feel tight and dry, with some flaking and peeling, which should resolve within the first week. Your skin will be more sensitive to the sun, so you’ll need to avoid direct sun exposure and use SPF50 sun protection daily. |
Treatment Course: |
Depending on your skin and how it responds, treatments can be performed every 2 weeks. A course of 6 is recommended. |
Who is the treatment suitable for?
Chemical peels are suitable for anyone wanting to see improvements in their skin health, texture, lines and wrinkles, pigmentation or acne.
- Safe for all skin including darker skin types
Further Information
Is the treatment painful?
You will experience some tingling and stinging as the peel gets to work in the skin, but this feeling subsides within a couple of minutes of application of the peel.
Will my skin completely peel off?
No, the peels we use do not penetrate deep into the skin, so the flaking and peeling you experience will be totally manageable and will not affect your day to day activities.
How long does it take to see results?
Skin improvements will be seen within the first couple of weeks of your treatment, but optimal results will be seen a couple of weeks after your last treatment as improvements accumulate and more intensive peels are used.
